Well, I drive a 1995 Land Rover Discovery, and in march I was at the oregon coast, and the first problem happened when my power steering fluid leaked onto the exhaust manifold then caught fire under the engine. But it wasn't bad at all, I got everything it affected replaced. Then while heading home during that trip, we were traveling through bend and hit an ice patch. Scary as hell, I hardly remember what happpened, Just that I somehow ended up on the wrong side of the road and immediatly turned around and went the opposite direction. Then when I made a stop for gas I noticed my car was making a knocking noise, so I got out to listen and it went away. Anyway, I drove my car the 11 hour all over up and down hill twisty roads to get home and it did so fine. Now randomly my car still makes the knocking noise? It's not constant, or loud, it just comes and goes randomly. Plus it sounds more so like its coming from under the car then in the engine. And then, randomly the other day I went to drive and my back drivers side tire had no air what so ever! totally flat! THEN I opened my hood and I had absolutely no transmission fluid? I have no idea where it went if i have a leak or if any of this tire going flat / transmission fluid being gone has to do with the knocking noise it randomly makes. But I figured I'd give you as many details as possible. Please help me, I'm considering driving it 5 hours to visit family and need to figure out if thats safe, I assumed so since I made it the 11 hour twisty uphill downhill ride in the snow/rain.
